The DGK Construction team took on the challenge of climbing Snowdon to raise funds for the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA), in memory of our late colleague and dear friend, Ray Dearden.
Ray was at the heart of our team. Whether on site, in the office, or simply sharing a joke, he had a way of connecting with everyone around him. His loss left a deep void, and this climb was our way of honouring his memory while supporting a cause that saves lives every day.
The team were joined by Ray’s wife, Jo, and his children, Jack and Shannon, whose presence made the day all the more meaningful. Facing steep paths, changing weather, and the physical challenge of Snowdon, the team showed true determination and spirit — a reflection of the values Ray inspired in us all.
We are proud to share that this challenge has already raised £13,000, enough to fund nearly three emergency call-outs for EAAA. These funds directly support a service that operates 24/7, 365 days a year, delivering critical care across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, and Bedfordshire.
To everyone who donated, shared, or encouraged the team: thank you. Your generosity honours Ray’s memory and contributes directly to a service that makes a real difference when it matters most.
This one was for Ray — a colleague, a friend, and someone we will always remember.
